Recently on many platforms, you might’ve been hearing an artist’s familiar voice through her soft sounding voice and tunes. Whether you know her name or not, you can most likely recognize her songs if you’ve been online within the past year. Or, even if you wonder who won that Grammy for being the Best New Artist earlier this month.

That new artist is British singer and songwriter Olivia Dean. Her first album “Messy” which was released in 2023 received a lot of praise for the blend of soul, pop, and R&B music. It debuted at #4 on the UK charts. 

Dean really rose to global fame, however,  with her hit single “Man I Need” from her second album, “The Art Of Loving” which was released in 2025. This topped the UK charts. Other popular tracks like “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” and “Nice to Each Other” goes to show her popularity and how she’s not just a “one hit wonder”.

Her combination of soft sounding lyrics with soulful pop sound exemplified in these tracks. Her songs just have the perfect mix between pop and soft music, which I think many people really enjoy.

She has widespread popularity on social media platforms, often taking up the top audios to use for Instagram reels and trending on Tiktok.

I can definitely see her going way more viral within the next couple of months as she’s already won a Grammy, has opened for many popular artists including Sabrina Carpenter, and has performed on BBC’s radio station. 

She is currently on tour with her largest headline tour to date, The Art of Loving Live, which spans 52 arena shows across Europe, North America, and Oceania throughout 2026. Her prices have increased substantially due to resellers and with her selling out certain stadiums. 

I feel like no matter if you are a teenager or an adult, her music will resonate with you in some way. I truly feel that if this momentum of popularity keeps pushing, she will most certainly become one of the most well known pop stars in the future.
