“I think it’s very intriguing to see my Spotify wrapped every year,” sophomore Shashi Pokhrel said. “It’s something I always look forward to every year. I see other apps try to copy that Spotify Wrapped type thing, but honestly it doesn’t compare to Spotify.”
The top album is “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” by Bad Bunny. Second place goes to “A Matter of Time” by Laufey and “I AM MUSIC” by Playboi Carti. Finally, third place goes to “Hit Me Hard and Soft” by Billie Eilish. “Sports Car” by Tate McRae and “The Scientist” by Coldplay are the only songs to get two votes.

Pop is the top genre, while alternative rock is the top subgenre. Subgenres seem to be a huge part of music data, as most responses showed genres like dark R&B, bedroom pop, and pop rap, rather than just pop, R&B, and rap.
Most students listened to between 10,000 and 49,000 minutes of music. ““I feel like music definitely helps me tune out all distractions and helps me focus more,” one sophomore said.
Spotify is the most-used music app, with 50 votes. 44 students rate their music taste 5/5 stars. 22 Spotify users had their music age fall between 26 and 39 years.
Some students felt their music taste was very similar to their music taste last year, while others felt their music taste was very different.
“For me the earlier months of the year (Jan-April) seem to matter more for my wrapped, which usually ends up with my top artists/songs only reflecting the first half of the year,” one junior said.
