Scenes From School: Tide RISES Door Decorating Challenge

Back in September, students in their MyCap Advisory Homeroom groups explored our Vision of the Graduate traits, built camaraderie across grade levels, and showed their pride by creating a homeroom team identity (name, mascot, and slogan) that reflected their assigned VOG trait: Resilience, Innovation, Self-Awareness, Empowerment and Service-Mindedness. These are some of the results that have been brightening the halls all year.

For empowerment, Ms. Fluery's homeroom created a crimson sea with turtles. Their slogan was "guided by purpose, powered by the tide."

Senior Emma Perry is motivated to make her family proud and is thinking of a career in either political science or business. In school, she is class treasurer and the student representative on the school committee. She is also captain of the cheer team. In addition, she is a competitive dancer. Perry doesn’t let other people’s opinions weigh her down too much. Even though there have been many changes throughout her high school career, being herself is one thing that hasn’t changed.
