Susana Prachi, reporter
Freshman Susana Prachi is a 15-year-old Bangladeshi who enjoys writing both in and out of school. Initially, she may seem like a very introverted, quiet person, but becomes a wholly different person when she gets comfortable. While creative writing is one of her more prominent hobbies, Prachi also likes reading and watching different TV shows and movies in her free time, and often finds herself becoming deeply immersed with the universe that her favoured media creates. Her favorite show is “The Haunting Of Hill House”, and her favorite movie is Crimson Peak. Another one of her hobbies is doing henna on her own hands and also for her family. She finds comfort and satisfaction in creating the intricate patterns and designs. Born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Prachi moved to the US last November and has been living with her family of ten since. She still feels homesick and greatly misses Bangladeshi cuisine. Prachi tries to stay deeply connected with her culture and religion. During the pandemic, Prachi taught herself basic Turkish by watching different Turkish movies and dramas— a skill that she regrets not practicing further. Her favorite subject is English, but she is also interested in Biology. In the future, Prachi wishes for her career to revolve around her primary interests of writing, and hopes for a life that would make her parents proud.
