Freshman Ester Coelho wants to be a lawyer. She was born in Brazil and her life there was pretty good. The Brazilian state she’s from has a lot of rivers, which may be why she has liked water since she was a little kid. She came to the United States in 2024, living first in Orlando, Florida for a month before moving to Everett. Coelho loves to write, either digitally or by hand, and she likes to read a lot too. Her favorite book genre is fantasy. Besides writing and reading, Coelho loves her culture a lot and is very proud of it. She loves samba, coxinha, brigadeiro, and her favorite type of music is MPB, which stands for Música Popular Brasileira (Brazilian Pop Music). Her favorite singers are Chico Buarque, Rita Lee, Baco Exu do Blues and Orochi. She likes to cook cultural food from different countries, and her favorite type of food is Mexican. She doesn’t have any pets, but her favorite animals are cats, tigers,and lions. Coelho speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish, and wants to learn Russian, French and German.
