Waltham light show is safe and fun holiday experience
Roadway transformed into glittering display featuring a million lights
The Waltham Lions Club, a non-profit charitable organization, is holding a drive-through light show this holiday season in order to support the Waltham Salvation Army in its efforts to collect toy donations.
This event has been taking place at 200 Trapelo Road in Waltham since Nov, 27. The event will end on Jan. 3, 2021.
The light show runs from 5pm to 9pm Monday through Sunday. The entrance fee is $20 per car from Monday to Thursday and $23 from Friday to Sunday.
Known as the Greater Boston Light Show, the attraction hosts the largest light tunnel in the New England area.
In addition to Christmas trees and emojis made of LED lights, the Greater Boston Light Show has animatronic scenes with scannable QR codes providing a history of the scene. All of this is enjoyed while music of the season is played on the FM radio.
The only biosecurity measure you need to know is that you must be in the car at all times. This event is perfect for all family members. You can even take your dog, but they must also remain in the car.
