Protesters walk down Ferry Street for the No Kings Protest at noon on Saturday, June 14.
On Saturday, June 14, a series of protests took place across the country, collectively called the “No Kings” protests. These protests were held to take a stand against the Trump administration and their actions.
One of these protests took place in our own city. Protesters could be seen walking in the rain with signs on the sidewalks of Ferry Street and Broadway.
Demonstrations like this show our own community organizing in hard times. To many residents, and the protesters themselves, this could be a sign of a shared struggle, and a shared desire for change.
