Steak and cheese subs, chicken cutlet specials, meatball subs, chicken parmesan, a variety of pizzas and so much more. Yes, these are just a few of the items on the DiBlasi’s menu that they have to offer to the community of Everett. The same items that help keep the Italian tradition alive in Everett.
DiBlasi’s has been a cornerstone for the growth of Everett. It’s played a defining role in the sculpting of the community and provided food and comfort for generations.
“DiBlasi‘s has been here since 1952,” owner Greg Maganzini said. “It’s been a gathering spot for students to come after school (or even during lunch years ago). It’s a great spot. Having a small business located in the heart of Everett, right on Broadway, keeps the Italian tradition alive for customers to experience. Also, we’re a small business with the owner on the grill every lunch, followed by his other family members helping out.”

“We create homemade items, fresh items, offer food options, and keep Italian traditions and recipes that were handed down from DiBlasi‘s grandparents to my grandparents and parents,” Maganzini said. “It’s fast-paced, casual, family-based dining.”
Straight from the owner’s mouth, DiBlasi’s has a lot to offer. But in addition, the people of Everett High also believe in it too. “DiBlasi’s has always been one of my favorite sub shops,” freshman Emma Figueiredo said.
“I’ve tried other places like Subway or S&L Subs but they’ve never caught my attention like DiBlasi’s has,” Figueiredo said. “Especially because they have delivery, it’s been one of my favorite and most efficient ways of getting sandwiches.”
For Maganzini, it’s more than just a business. “It is my life,” the proud owner said. “I never thought I would be known as the cook in my family or among friends, but I clearly am. Wherever I go, I bring the food. I always knew that this was going to be my career, my livelihood.”

“And then knowing that this is my future, I have to make sure that I’m putting out the best product,” Maganzini said, “and that I’m hiring the best employees, and I’m doing everything I can to get customers in here, because I’m not leaving this to go back to the corporate world or to start another career. I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and I plan on doing this for another 20 more. So yeah, DiBlasi’s has defined my career path.”
DiBlasi’s has been built on years of history and will continue to contribute to Everett’s future. As long as it remains in the heart of Everett, DiBlasi’s will continue to spread the Italian tradition and culture throughout the city.
