Once again, we present our annual installment of our slang dictionary, keeping up with all the current Gen Z slang for the benefit of the rest of us Boomers, Gen Xers, and elder Millenials.

Show off or boast.

Feeling or emotion.

Glow up (noun)
Transformation or improvement.
“She had a major glow up after starting a new skincare routine.”
Savage (adjective)
Fearless or ruthless.
“She can be so savage when she’s angry.”
Snatched (adjective)
Looking good or on point.
“His outfit is absolutely snatched.”
Stan (verb)
Support or admire greatly.
“I stan her new album, it’s amazing.”
Vibing (verb participle)
Feeling a good energy or connection.
We were just vibing at the beach, it was so peaceful.”
Clapback (noun)
A quick and sharp response to criticism or insults.
“She always has the best clapbacks when someone tries to come for her.”
Slay the house boots down (verb phrase)
Someone or something is or looks cool
“Yessss! Slay the house boots down!”

Short delay someone has before speaking in a video
Delulu (adjective)
Shortened version of delusional
“She’s definitely delulu.”
Beige flag (noun)
A boyfriend, girlfriend or partner that is boring or not exactly problematic

Side Eye (interjection)
A glance of disapproval or curiosity
“Side eye.”
Red Flag (noun)
Someone or something problematic
