For the next couple days we all will be hearing about the only child of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie, because the legendary daughter of Elvis has passed away at the age of 54 years old due to cardiac arrest last night.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday evening. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
Lisa Marie was born on February 1, 1968 to the late great Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley. Growing up Lisa lived in Graceland in Tennessee which she inherited after Elvis passed away.
Priscilla and Elvis were together from 1967-1977. Lisa stayed close to her father Elvis as a young girl, but tragedy struck on August 16, 1977, when Elvis passed away from a heart attack in Graceland.
Lisa Marie is well known as the daughter of the king of rock ‘n’ roll but she also was a singer herself. After her father passed away she would later on record songs like, “Daddy Don’t Cry” and “Where No One Stands Alone” (with her father).
Since then she has released three albums; her last album in 2012 was called “Storm and Grace.” Lisa Marie has become one of the many legendary children of a singer to also become a singer.
In 1989 she had a daughter named Riley Keough and then in 1992 she welcomed a son named Kyle Keough with her first husband Danny Keough. Then she famously married Micheal Jackson for two years. Then she would go on to marry two more times and have twin daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood.
Many fans noticed her with Austin Butler at the 2023 Golden Globes 2023 looking a bit ill. Some speculated that she was having the beginning of a heart attack but the next day Lisa Marie would be hospitalized from going into cardiac arrest. Her ex-husband Micheal Lockwood performed CPR on her.
At least she got to see Austin Butler win a Golden Globe for his performance as her father in the movie “Elvis.”
“I’ve seen Baz Luhrmann’s movie “Elvis” twice now,” Presley said. “Let me tell you that it is nothing short of spectacular. Absolutely exquisite.”
Lisa Marie Presley will always be remembered in the hearts of her and Elvis’s fans and as well with her family.
